Like many other manufacturers, Bentley plans to become a carbon-neutral brand, while remaining one of the leaders in very high-end mobility.

The Flying Spur Hybrid's new powertrain combines a "small" 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine with an electric motor which Bentley doesn't give any numbers for, just that it's powered by an 18-litre lithium-ion battery. 0 kWh that can be recharged to 100% in less than 2h30. The set delivers 544 hp and 750 Nm, or 95 hp more than the Bentayga Hybrid.

The new Flying Spur Hybrid thus becomes the most efficient Bentley to date.

It is capable of covering more than 800 km on a single tank, but also of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 s.

We also wonder if this version is not likely to overshadow the Flying Spur V8.

By 2024, the entire model range will be available with a hybrid option, just before the introduction of a first 100% electric model in 2025. By 2030, Bentley should also only offer electric cars.
