Musk: Twitter may charge a fee for commercial and government use

American billionaire Elon Musk said that Twitter will remain free for ordinary users, but may charge a small fee for commercial and government use, according to Reuters.

Musk is seeking to increase the number of users of the popular social networking platform in the United States.

"(Twitter) will always be free for regular users, but may charge a small fee for commercial and government use," Musk said in a tweet.

The American newspaper "The Wall Street Journal" reported yesterday (Tuesday), quoting informed sources, that the American billionaire plans to make Twitter a public company again within three years of buying the social networking company.

The newspaper report said that Musk had told potential investors that he was planning an initial public offering to bring Twitter back to the public market.
