In the first three months of the current year, Deutsche Post was able to build on its record year 2021.

The group announced on Tuesday morning in Bonn that the demand for transport services would continue with limited capacities.

Although the parcel volumes were moderately lower in view of the normalizing online trade, this was more than compensated for by the global logistics business.

By the end of March, Swiss Post had achieved earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of almost EUR 2.2 billion, exceeding the record figure from the previous year by 13 percent.

Sales even increased by a fifth to almost 22.6 billion euros.

The management of the Dax group confirmed its annual forecast and the targets for 2024.
