Emaar Hospitality aims to open 10 new hotels this year and next

Kirby stated to "Emirates Today", that "the group's hotels are performing well, with the opening of more destinations, and the relaxation of travel protocols, as the tourism sector continues to recover," noting that "with the hosting of (Expo 2020 Dubai), which concluded Its activities at the end of last March, and other events in Dubai, the tourism sector continues to achieve good numbers.”

And he indicated that "in terms of average room rates and revenues, they exceeded our expectations and the percentages that we were targeting," noting that "the occupancy of the group's hotels in Dubai exceeded the 70 percent barrier during the first quarter of this year."

He pointed out that "international markets rebounded strongly, and this was reflected in the high proportion of international tourists from the total guests of hotel establishments," noting that "the sector continues to recover with the support of Dubai's attractiveness as a prominent tourist destination at the global level," explaining that the group's hotels are witnessing high demand during Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Kirby added: “This year is witnessing a remarkable recovery in the sector, and we look forward to accelerating our efforts and achieving more success by keeping pace with the latest trends and needs in the hospitality sector, in light of the new era of the hospitality and travel sectors.”

He explained that "(Emaar Hospitality) has development plans that include the various brands it owns, including hotels of the middle and luxury category as well," noting that the group has a portfolio of hospitality assets and brands, including: Address Hotels and Resorts, and Vida Hotels and Resorts. And Rove Hotels, in addition to the equipped hotel apartments.
