The Niro Plus taxi model is based on the first generation Niro EV (electric).

Kia has made several improvements to it to make the Niro Plus ready to meet the stringent requirements of Korean taxi operators and ride-sharing services.

The length (4,385 mm) and height (1,640 mm) have increased by 10 mm and 70 mm respectively, to give occupants more space inside the cabin.

Thanks to these enlarged dimensions, the driver and front passenger have 65mm more headroom, while rear headroom and rear legroom have increased by 72mm and 27mm respectively. .

Another space saving was made possible by reducing the thickness of the seats and the door trim.

An integrated all-in-one display will dramatically improve driver convenience and safety, eliminating the need for multiple devices and displays.

The screen will include all the useful information for taxi drivers to carry out their work seamlessly, including navigation, taximeter, digital odometer and voice recognition.

Kia plans to work with local and national companies to offer over-the-air (OTA) updates and services.

A model for individuals is also on the program, in a classic or rechargeable hybrid version.

For the moment however, this machine is not planned for Europe.
