According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. have recently announced that Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The recall plan was filed with the State Administration for Market Regulation.
From April 29, 2022, some imported and domestic Model 3 high-performance electric vehicles with production dates between January 12, 2019 and March 25, 2022 will be recalled, totaling 14,684 vehicles (including 1,850 imported vehicles, 12,834 domestic cars).
Due to software reasons, when the vehicles within the scope of this recall are in track mode,
the vehicle speed area in the center touchscreen display only displays the vehicle speed value and lacks the speed unit (KM/H)
.
When the vehicle is driving in the track mode, the above situation
may affect the driver's correct understanding of the speed information, and in extreme cases, it will increase the risk of a collision accident
, posing a potential safety hazard.
Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will upgrade the vehicles within the recall scope to the 2022.12 or later software for free through the over-the-air upgrade (OTA) technology. The upgraded vehicles are on the track. The speed unit (KM/H) will be displayed in the mode, and the user can complete the software upgrade without going to the store.
For vehicles that cannot be recalled through the Over-the-Air (OTA) technology, Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. and Tesla (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will contact relevant users through the Tesla Service Center to upgrade the vehicle software for free. to eliminate security risks.
Emergency measures: Before the implementation of the vehicle recall, users should drive the vehicle carefully when using the track mode; and upgrade the vehicle software as soon as possible after receiving the recall software update notice.
