In the first quarter of 2022, my country's newly installed renewable energy capacity was 25.41 million kilowatts, accounting for 80% of the country's newly installed power generation capacity.

Among them, hydropower was 221.2 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%; wind power was 183.3 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%; photovoltaic power generation was 84.1 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 22.2%; biomass power generation was 45 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 18.3%.

In the first quarter of 2022, the water energy utilization rate of major river basins in the country was about 99.9%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points over the same period of the previous year; the national average utilization rate of wind power was 96.8%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points over the same period of the previous year; the national average utilization rate of photovoltaic power generation was 97.2% , down 0.3 percentage points from the same period last year.

2. Hydropower construction and operation

From the perspective of the distribution of newly installed capacity, the "Three North" regions account for about 70%, and the central, eastern and southern regions account for about 30%.

4. Construction and operation of photovoltaic power generation

  In the first quarter of 2022, the country's newly installed photovoltaic capacity was 13.21 million kilowatts, of which photovoltaic power plants were 4.34 million kilowatts and distributed photovoltaics were 8.87 million kilowatts.

By the end of March 2022, the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation will be 318 million kilowatts.

From the perspective of the newly installed capacity, the regions with higher installed capacity are North China, East China and Central China, accounting for 28%, 29% and 20% of the newly installed capacity nationwide.
