Today, the websites of fuel distribution companies reported that the prices of gasoline and its derivatives “Super 98”, “Special 95” and “I Plus 91” recorded decreases in their indicators as of the first of next May, with a value ranging between 7 and 8 fils per liter. While the price of a liter of diesel recorded a limited increase of 6 fils compared to the prices of this month of April, according to the prices approved by the Committee to Follow Up on Fuel Prices of all kinds, including value-added tax at 5%.
The price of a liter of “Super 98” gasoline, as of the beginning of May, decreased from 3.74 dirhams previously, to 3.66 dirhams, a decrease of 8 fils, while the price of a liter of “Special 95” gasoline decreased from 3.62 dirhams, to 3.55 dirhams, a decrease of 7 fils, while the price of a liter of gasoline "iPlus 91" decreased from 3.55 dirhams to 3.48 dirhams, a decrease of 7 fils.
The price of a liter of diesel is down from 4.02 dirhams per liter previously, to 4.08 dirhams, a decrease of 6 fils.
It is noteworthy that the fuel price standards adopted by the Ministry of Energy and Industry are determined on a monthly basis, according to the average global oil prices, up or down, after adding the operating costs of the distribution companies.
