“OMV has always paid for gas supplies in euros and will continue to do so,” she tweeted.
Edtstadler also added that the existing form of payment for Russian gas supplies is fully consistent with the sanctions regime.
Earlier, OMV reported that the company does not plan to open accounts in Switzerland to pay for Russian gas supplies.
Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer said that Vienna has accepted Russia's new conditions for paying for gas.
