As noted, Germany's spending on Russian oil may increase from €11.4 billion to €14.3 billion, and on gas - from €8.8 billion to €17.6 billion compared to last year.

In addition, it is specified that about €2 billion Germany will have to pay for coal imports.

Earlier, German Finance Minister Christian Lindner reiterated that German companies should not pay for gas in rubles.

On March 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had signed a decree on gas trade with unfriendly countries. 

According to him, in order for Western countries to be able to purchase gas from Russia, they must open accounts in Russian banks.
