In the first quarter, the national general public budget expenditure was 6,358.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%.
Among them, education expenditure was 977.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%.
Expenditures on science and technology were 184.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.4%.
The expenditure on culture, tourism, sports and media was 79.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.7%.
Social security and employment expenditures were 1,117.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%.
The national government fund budget revenue was 1,384.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 25.6%.
In terms of the central and local governments, the budgetary revenue of central government funds was 85.3 billion yuan, down 7.9% year-on-year; the budgetary revenue of local government funds at this level was 1,298.9 billion yuan, down 26.5% year-on-year. A year-on-year decrease of 27.4%.
The national government fund budget expenditure was 2,478.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 43%.
In terms of central and local governments, the budgetary expenditures of the central government funds at this level were 25.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 55.2%; the budget-related expenditures of local government funds were 2,453.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 42.9%, of which, 15,438 yuan was the expenditure related to the transfer of state-owned land use rights. 100 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.5%.
