With the rapid spread of solar power generation, various issues have surfaced, such as the installation of panels on steep mountain slopes and the finding of dangerous cases.

The government has decided to collaborate with the relevant ministries and agencies to put together the necessary countermeasures.

As a pillar of global warming countermeasures, the government has set a policy of expanding the introduction of renewable energy, of which solar power generation has spread rapidly throughout the country.

However, recently, solar panels have been installed on steep mountain slopes, causing damage to surrounding buildings and roads due to landslides, and finding a place to dispose of aging panels. Challenges have surfaced.

Reflecting on the fact that the relevant ministries and agencies have acted independently and have not responded sufficiently, the government has decided to collaborate with the relevant ministries and agencies to formulate necessary countermeasures.

Specifically, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries will work together to set areas to restrict the installation of panels.

In addition, if there is a case of legal violation, the relevant ministries and agencies will strengthen cooperation.

In addition, as it is expected that a large amount of aging panels will be disposed of, we will promptly contact the local government if there is a notification of disposal to the national government and establish a system for proper disposal.

In the future, the government will set up a study group made up of experts and will put together measures by the summer.
