Dubai Logistics Customs Center clears goods worth 1.6 billion dirhams during the first quarter

The Dubai Logistics City Customs Center, affiliated to the Land Customs Centers Department at the Dubai Customs Department, affirmed its continuous support to facilitate companies and traders, especially the shipments of the International City for Humanitarian Services, which had a great impact on the arrival of humanitarian aid and supplies in record time to the affected countries, as a result of the crises. Global and emergency variables, in addition to accelerating the completion of procedures for e-commerce companies, which have witnessed a significant increase in orders during the past years.

Sami Issa, Senior Director of Customs Inspection at Dubai Logistics City, said that the center completed 48,000 customs transactions during the first quarter, and cleared goods and shipments worth 1.6 billion dirhams for the same period.

He added: "The center was keen to support international companies, including companies and institutions responsible for serving humanity, by accelerating the completion of customs procedures as soon as possible, and providing all necessary support, including for the shipments of the International City for Humanitarian Services, which is the largest humanitarian logistical headquarters in the world, to enhance its role in facilitating effective initial responses to crises at the global level.
