The Chugoku Electric Power Network announced on the 17th that it will implement "output control" to temporarily stop power generation to power generation companies in order to prevent a large-scale power outage due to excessive supply of solar power generation.

This is the first time that output control has been performed within the Chugoku Electric Power Company.

Electricity is kept in line with power generation and consumption, so if the amount of solar power generated is too high and the balance with demand is lost, the power plant may stop and a large-scale power outage may occur. ..

According to the Chugoku Electric Power Network, on Sunday the 17th, it is expected that the demand for electricity from companies and others will decrease, while the amount of solar power generation will increase on a sunny day.

For this reason, in order to prevent a large-scale power outage, we announced that we will perform "output control" to temporarily stop power generation by businesses such as solar power generation.

The time zone is expected to be from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on the 17th, and the target is up to 600,000 kW of electricity generated by solar and wind power in the jurisdiction.

This is the first time that output control has been performed within the Chugoku Electric Power Company.

The introduction of renewable energy in the jurisdiction has increased, of which the amount of power generated by solar power has increased more than 10 times in the last 10 years to 6 million kW.

The Chugoku Electric Power Network says, "We would like to ask for your cooperation as it is a necessary effort to expand the stable supply of electricity and the acceptance of renewable energy."
