As the COVID-19 epidemic continues to decline, the number of new confirmed cases yesterday stood at 107,916, reaching 100,000 for the fourth day.



It was 17,000 fewer than the day before, and 77,000 fewer than the Saturday a week ago.



Among the new confirmed cases in Korea, the elderly aged 60 and over accounted for 24%, an increase of 2.2 percentage points from the previous day, to 25,000, and children under the age of 18 accounted for 19.2%.



The death toll from COVID-19 increased by 273 yesterday, bringing the total to 28,89.



The number of patients with severe severe cases was 913, a decrease of 86 from the previous day, and the number fell to 900 for the third day in a row.



While the nationwide intensive care bed utilization rate is stabilizing at 48.5%, the number of at-home care workers also fell below 900,000 for the first time in 44 days since the 3rd of last month to 867,000.



The Corona 19 Vaccination Promotion Team announced that about 336,000 people received the vaccine over two days during the fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine for the elderly over 60, which started yesterday.
