According to Shu Jueting, since the beginning of this year, facing the complicated domestic and international economic situation, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, China's foreign trade has withstood the pressure. The growth rate was 10.7%, and the overall start was good, laying a good foundation for achieving the annual target.
Shu Jueting said that we are also clearly aware that the environment for foreign trade development is becoming more severe and complex, and faces many risks and challenges.
From an international perspective, bottlenecks in the global supply chain have not been eased, inflationary pressures are rising, monetary policies in major economies are tightening, and global economic and trade growth rates have slowed.
On April 12, the WTO lowered its forecast for global economic and trade growth in 2022 by 1.3 and 1.7 percentage points, respectively.
From a domestic point of view, local epidemics have occurred frequently recently, and the production and operation of some foreign trade enterprises have been affected, logistics and transportation have been blocked, supply chains in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and other regions have been blocked, and the overall cost of enterprises has remained high.
However, at the same time, my country's foreign trade industry has a solid foundation, and the fundamentals for the long-term improvement have not changed. There are still many favorable conditions for achieving the goal of maintaining stability and improving quality of imports and exports.
