It turned out that Kyushu Electric Power has stopped accepting companies seeking to switch contracts from "new power", which has stopped its business due to soaring energy prices.

With regard to electric power retailers called "new electric power," the cost of procuring electric power from the wholesale market has increased due to the effects of soaring energy prices, and businesses are being withdrawn one after another nationwide.

Under these circumstances, Kyushu Electric Power is taking measures to stop accepting contracts with Kyushu Electric Power when a corporation such as a company that switched to "new power" with a previous contractor requests a contract with Kyushu Electric Power again.

Regarding the reason, Kyushu Electric Power points out that it is difficult to supply additional power because it is not expected to be profitable due to soaring energy prices.

For corporations that cannot find a re-contractor, there is a guarantee system that allows them to receive electricity for one year, but it is premised on a high price.

In the future, rising electricity prices will have a major impact on the business environment not only among households but also among corporations.
