“Dewa” shares acquire 58.5% of the Dubai Financial Market’s trading

Yesterday, the Dubai Financial Market index closed up by 0.4% at the level of 3582 points, with transactions worth 639 million dirhams.

Yesterday's session witnessed an increase in the shares of 13 companies out of the 29 companies that were traded, while the shares of 12 companies declined, and four remained stable.

The share of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) closed down by 2.1% at 2.81 dirhams, after a gain of 15.7% in the day before yesterday.

Despite this decline, the "Dewa" share is still 13.3% higher than the subscription price of 2.48 dirhams, bringing the market value of the company's shares to 140.5 billion dirhams, as the largest listed company in the market in terms of market capitalization.

«Dewa» shares topped the trading value and volume for the second day in a row, with a value of 373.4 million dirhams, equivalent to 58.5% of the total trading value in the market, while trading volume on the share reached about 131 million shares, constituting 39.6% of the trading volume in the market.

The stock succeeded in securing a leading position in the list of large stocks, after listing it, considered the largest in the history of the region's markets.

Shares of «Emaar Properties» closed at its previous price of six dirhams, with trading of nearly 13 million shares.

"Deyaar Development" shares increased by 2% at 0.50 dirhams, with a transaction of nearly 55 million shares, while "Union Properties" share increased by 3.5% at 0.263 dirhams, with a transaction of nearly 27 million shares.

Shares of «Dubai Islamic» rose by 0.5% to reach 6.20 dirhams, with transactions of nearly five million shares, while the share of «Dubai Financial Market» decreased by 2.5% to reach 2.68 dirhams, and transactions exceeded nine million shares.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange closed yesterday, slightly down by six points, at the level of 10,090 points, with transactions worth a total of 1.6 billion dirhams.

The shares of 30 companies out of 52 that were traded, and the shares of 12 other companies declined, and 10 remained stable.

And «Eshraq Investments» shares closed up by 2.6% at 0.514 dirhams, with a turnover of nearly 42 million shares, while «Al Dar Properties» share increased by 1.4% at 5.2 dirhams, with a transaction of nearly 59 million shares.

The "First Abu Dhabi" share decreased by 1% at 23.40 dirhams, with a transaction of nearly 10 million shares, while "TAQA" share decreased by 3.6% at 1.33 dirhams, with a transaction of nearly five million shares.
