  This marks that Taizhou Port has successfully opened the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" (RCEP) national fruit import route, achieved a breakthrough in inbound fruit business, and became the second New Zealand kiwifruit bulk carrier entry port after Shanghai.

  China is New Zealand's largest trading partner and the most important overseas market for New Zealand's agricultural products such as kiwifruit, apples, cherries and avocados.

The Damaiyu Port Area of ​​Taizhou Port has the qualifications to carry out inbound fruit business, with good port conditions and outstanding location and transportation advantages, which can better meet the business development needs of New Zealand kiwifruit in the Chinese market.

  At the end of March, the Taizhou Municipal Government convened relevant port management departments and local epidemic prevention departments to conduct comprehensive research and emergency deployment on ship entry and exit, land fruit transshipment, and epidemic prevention and control at Damaiyu Port.

  According to the relevant person in charge of the Taizhou Maritime Safety Administration, the Taizhou Maritime Safety Administration has opened up green channels, handled the import and export procedures of ships efficiently, implemented remote verification by special personnel, and made use of intelligent equipment such as the "Zhejiang Maritime Intelligent Control Platform" to carry out the development of ships sailing in and out of the port channel. Safety reminders and navigation guidelines to build a safe sea passage for the smooth berthing of the "STAR SPIRIT".

  Next, New Zealand kiwifruit will arrive at the Damaiyu port through a weekly fixed ship, with a total volume of 50,000 tons and a value of more than 1 billion yuan.

In the next step, the Taizhou maritime department will continue to deepen the maritime safety management of inbound ships, and promote the smooth development of port trade with high-level supervision and high-quality services.
