It is understood that marginal oilfields usually refer to small and medium-sized oilfields with small scale, thin reservoirs and poor physical properties, or oilfields with complex stratigraphic structures and remote locations.
Such oilfields are often difficult to produce by conventional development models due to poor economic evaluations or failure to achieve profitability targets.
The east area of Weizhou 12-8 oilfield is about 31 kilometers away from Weizhou Island in the North Sea of Guangxi. It is a typical marginal oilfield with high development cost and low input-output ratio.
"We firmly grasped the key factor of economy, and according to the characteristics of offshore marginal oilfields, we independently designed and built the 'Haiyang Shiyou 163' platform and successfully put it into production, realizing the economical and effective development of the east area of Weizhou 12-8 oilfield." CNOOC Zhanjiang Fan Caiwei, manager of the exploration and development department of the branch, said.
According to reports, the "Offshore Oil 163" platform is a four-legged jack-up wellhead platform integrating production and life, and it is also the first offshore mobile jack-up wellhead platform in China.
The platform is about 81 meters long and 44 meters wide, with a deck area equivalent to 6 basketball courts, a total weight of more than 7,000 tons, a design life of 25 years, a maximum operating water depth of 45 meters, and a 100% localization rate of key equipment. The capability of independent workover and wellhead support, crude oil production, crude oil metering, oil and gas water separation, production water treatment, water injection, crude oil pipeline transportation and other operational functions.
Huang Peng, director of the "Offshore Oil 163" platform, introduced that, different from the traditional fixed jacket wellhead platform, the "Offshore Oil 163" platform has the characteristics of being liftable, movable and reusable, and is vividly called "Little Bee" in the industry. ”, which can maximize the utilization rate of equipment and greatly reduce the cost of oilfield development. It is a powerful tool for developing marginal oilfields.
It is understood that the peak daily production of crude oil in the east area of Weizhou 12-8 oilfield is about 1,300 tons, and the cumulative crude oil production can be increased by more than 800,000 tons.
The successful development of this oilfield has broken through the barriers that are difficult to develop in marginal marine oilfields, which means that China's "bee-style" oil production model technology system is maturing.
