Overseas Network, April 7.

According to US media reports, Boeing has recently been exposed to frequent problems in the process of producing the US presidential plane "Air Force One".

A U.S. military spokesman said the U.S. contractor management agency had formally asked Boeing to improve its operations.

Earlier this year, Boeing staff tried to transfer one of the Air Force One planes from the factory's scaffolding to a jack, people familiar with the matter said.

However, some of the jacks were carrying far more weight than they were designed to carry, leading some experts to worry that manipulation in the process could damage the aircraft.

Not only that, but a subsequent inspection of related issues also found that a Boeing employee was not properly qualified to supervise the job, the staff did not follow established procedures, and an employee involved in the operation failed to pass routine medication detection.

The US media also revealed that just a few months ago, several empty mini tequila bottles appeared on one of the "Air Force One", and in fact, all Boeing factories have prohibition regulations.

Boeing also failed to find out who was responsible for leaving the wine bottle on the plane.

In response to a series of problems at the Boeing factory, a U.S. Air Force spokesman said that the U.S. contractor management agency has formally asked Boeing to improve its operations, citing deficiencies in documentation, procedures and training.

Boeing and the U.S. military are still negotiating a delivery schedule for the new Air Force One.

Boeing has said deliveries of the planes could be delayed by 17 months, but U.S. government officials believe the company's timetable is unrealistic, according to people familiar with the matter.

A U.S. Air Force spokesman said the military is currently expecting a 24-month delay in deliveries of the new aircraft.
