On April 5, local time, in Metro Manila, the capital of the Philippines, the inauguration ceremony of the Binodo-Intramuros Bridge was held in the presence of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian.
The Binodo-Intramuros Bridge is one of the two bridges that China has assisted in the construction of the Philippines for free, spanning both sides of the Pasig River in the capital.
The main bridge adopts a two-way four-lane design with a total length of about 678 meters. After the opening to traffic, the average daily traffic flow will reach 30,000.
The project was undertaken by China Bridge Construction Corporation.
