  The People's Bank of China reported on the 2nd that on the basis of the previous pilot areas, the People's Bank of China added Tianjin, Chongqing, Guangzhou in Guangdong, Fuzhou and Xiamen in Fujian, and Zhejiang as six cities hosting the Asian Games as pilot areas. Beijing and Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province will be converted into pilot areas after the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics scenarios are completed.

  Chen Yiting successfully opened and registered a "digital RMB" wallet at the first time, becoming one of the first Taiwanese compatriots in the mainland to open a "digital RMB" wallet.

In the past two days, he was busy with consumer experience in shopping malls, hotels, pharmacies in Fuzhou and many other scenarios that can already accept digital RMB payment.

  "Digital renminbi is a legal currency in digital form, and it should be the trend in the future." Chen Yiting said that in the future, there will be more and more usage scenarios for digital renminbi, which will also bring convenience to Taiwan compatriots. He will prefer to use digital renminbi for consumption payments. .

  The reporter learned that the current operating agencies are stepping up the connection and technical improvement of the pilot application scenarios.

At present, Fuzhou’s Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Shangxiahang, Yantai Mountain and other scenic spots, some merchants in Dongbai Center, Taijiang Wanda, Aegean Shopping Park and other business districts, as well as Yonghui Supermarket, can already accept digital RMB payment.

  The Fuzhou digital renminbi pilot application scenarios are expanding in areas such as transportation, shopping consumption, and life payment, accelerating their integration into citizens' lives and providing a safer and more convenient payment experience.

  On the afternoon of the 3rd, in the Taiwanese youth entrepreneurship and employment platform - Weiweike Cultural and Creative Cluster, located in Fuzhou Sanfang Qixiang, Taiwanese young Huang Deyou opened the "Digital RMB" APP to complete the consumption payment and bought a cup of coffee.

  This is the first Taiwanese compatriot to use digital renminbi for offline consumption payment after the digital renminbi was piloted in Fuzhou.

Previously, Huang Deyou mainly used WeChat and Alipay for consumer payment.

After learning that the digital renminbi was being piloted in Fuzhou, he immediately downloaded the "digital renminbi" APP for a "pre-emptive" experience.
