China News Service, Beijing, April 5 (Reporter Liu Liang) This year's Qingming holiday is coming to an end. The big data disclosed by the online travel platform Qunar on the 5th shows that family visits and short-distance travel in the province are the hot spots for Qingming travel. On April 5 Day is the peak of the return journey.

During the Qingming period, nearly 80% of tourists traveled by railways in the province, and Chengdu East Railway Station will be the railway station that will send the most passengers during the Qingming holiday in 2022.

Although cross-provincial travel is restricted during the Qingming Festival, regional hotspots still show the resilience of China's tourism market.

Qunar platform data shows that the tourism market in Shenzhen and Xi'an experienced a "retaliatory" rebound. The search volume on the platform increased by more than 10 times compared with the pre-holiday period, and drove tourism in surrounding cities in Guangdong and Shaanxi Province.

Many scenic spots in Sichuan, Beijing and other places are popular with the public. The bookings of Qingming hotels in some small tourist cities in Xinjiang, Qinghai, Tibet and other regions this year increased by 30% compared with last year.

Lan Xiang, director of the Qunar Big Data Research Institute, said that during the Qingming holiday this year, the main groups of tourists are returning home and short- and medium-distance travel.

Among them, the Sichuan-Chongqing region in the southwest and the Pearl River Delta region have relatively high intra-provincial travel volume. The search volume of air tickets in Shenzhen region increased by 18% month-on-month. The tourism market in the western region has recovered well.

In terms of air tickets, according to Qunar big data, the number of air ticket bookings in cities with relatively stable epidemics increased by 30% compared with the previous week.

It is worth noting that this year is approaching the holiday node, and the air ticket prices of many popular routes have dropped significantly.

According to Qunar Big Data, as of April 4, the average price paid for economy class tickets for travel dates from April 1 to April 6 was 548 yuan, down nearly 20% from last year. The price is the lowest in nearly three years.
