Last March, the labor market gave signs of having encountered problems in continuing the improvement of last year by reducing unemployment by just 2,900 people, 0.09% less than in February.

This is the least progress since 2014 except for March 2020, when the Government launched extraordinary measures to hibernate the economy and stop the advance of Covid19.

The number of unemployed now amounts to 3,108,763 people, which means 840,877 less unemployed than a year ago or a reduction of 21.29%.

It is striking that, compared to last February, registered unemployment grew in Agriculture by 1,568 people (1.01%);

in Industry in 1,173 (0.46%);

in construction in 5,664 (2.33%) and also among the group without previous employment 6,764 (2.71%);

while it decreased in services, the most numerous, by 18,090 people (-0.82%).
