The Ministry of Economy revealed the registration of 4,760 new trademarks in the UAE during the first quarter of this year, which is a strong indication of the continued growth in the various economic and commercial sectors in the country, the strength of the economy, and the consolidation of the state's position, as a major destination for investment and trade regionally and globally, after recovering Various economic activities are completely affected by the repercussions of the “Covid-19” pandemic.

The Trademarks Report, issued by the Ministry yesterday, showed the registration of 1,610 trademarks in the UAE last March, as well as the registration of 1,750 trademarks in January, and 1,400 trademarks in February.

The report indicated that the registered trademarks included the commodity and service sectors, as well as local, regional and international companies.

According to the report, the registered sectors included major sectors, foremost of which are: technology and digitization, health care, medicines and medical supplies, food and organic foods, electronics and telephones, banks and financial businesses, wholesale and retail trade, cars and spare parts, industry, tourism, restaurants, hotels and cafes, real estate and contracting, Equipment, furnishings, decorative and furniture accessories, gold, jewelry, watches, perfumes, and others.

The nationalities of companies operating in the UAE exceed 150 nationalities, confirming the country's position as a regional business center in the Gulf region and the Middle East.
