Like every beginning of the month, new government measures or laws come into effect.

This April 1, 2022, these measures affect housing, purchasing power, but also the daily life of the French with an increase in social benefits but also the ban on heated terraces.

Discount at the pump, increase in RSA and family allowances, ban on heated terraces... On April 1, 2022, new government measures come into effect.

How will they have an impact on the daily life of the French?

Overview and explanation of all these new features.

Energy vouchers in the amount of 48 to 277 euros

We start with the good news.

The fuel discount comes into effect today.

This boost of 18 cents per liter at the pump is set up by the government for a period of four months.

It is also from today that energy checks are sent to the first 15 departments.

The others will follow throughout the month of April.

These checks amounting to 48 to 277 euros will enable 6 million households to pay their electricity bill, buy fuel or carry out energy renovation work.

Good news also for the most modest: social benefits are increased by 1.8% to keep up with inflation.

This is particularly the case for the activity bonus, the RSA and the allowance for disabled adults.

End of winter break

However, the winter break ends today.

It will not be extended like last year due to a pandemic.

The evictions of tenants will therefore resume.

Finally, a measure for ecology: heated terraces are now prohibited.

And a step forward: telephone canvassing in the insurance sector is now more strictly regulated.

In particular, marketers will have to ask for your consent.
