"Ezaki Glico" announced that President Katsuhisa Ezaki (80), who has led the company for 40 years, has retired as chairman, and his eldest son, Etsuro Ezaki, has been appointed as the successor president.

Ezaki Glico announced at a board meeting held after the general meeting of shareholders on the 24th that President Katsuhisa Ezaki has retired as chairman with representative rights and that his eldest son, Etsuro Ezaki, has decided to take over.



This is the first time in 40 years since 1982 that the president has changed.

Etsuro Ezaki, who became the new president, is 49 years old.



He joined Ezaki Glico in 2004 and has long played a central role in the marketing department.



President Etsuro Ezaki met at the head office in Nishiyodogawa Ward, Osaka, and stated that he would "develop brands and products that can be used in everyday life." He showed his intention to focus on the foods that are sold.



He also emphasized his willingness to actively develop business in Southeast Asia such as Indonesia.



Mr. Katsuhisa Ezaki, who has led the company for 40 years, is a victim who was kidnapped in the so-called "Glico Morinaga Incident" and will support management as chairman in the future.
