With the national average gasoline price exceeding 2,000 won per liter, the price of light fuel is also rising day by day.

On the 15th, the average diesel price in Seoul broke through the 2,000 won level for the first time in 14 years since 2008, and it has risen by more than 350 won compared to the end of last month.

Normally, the price difference between gasoline and diesel was about 200 won per liter, but on the evening of the 23rd, it was close to 83 won.

A gas station has also appeared in Seoul where the price of diesel exceeds that of gasoline.

The sharp rise in economic prices is in line with the situation in Europe.

In Europe, where the proportion of diesel vehicles is high, as vehicle operation decreased due to the aftermath of Corona 19, oil refiners reduced production and inventory decreased. .

The US announced an embargo on Russia's crude oil price hike.

Domestically, the government's fuel tax cuts had an impact.

The tax on gasoline is higher than on diesel, and the 20% reduction in the fuel tax has resulted in a wider reduction in gasoline prices.

Diesel fuel requires policy management as industrial and transportation demand is high.
