In episode 203 of the FAZ objection podcast we look at Russia.
A Russian court there has just sentenced Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny to nine years in a prison camp – after an arbitrary and obviously politically motivated trial.
This is reported by Janine Uhlmannsiek, an expert for the Europe and Central Asia region at Amnesty International in Germany.
In contrast, the International Court of Justice recently sentenced Russia to immediately stop the attacks on Ukraine – in a judgment that has more symbolic appeal than concrete impact.
The Federal Constitutional Court had to deal with AfD proceedings again.
The parliamentary group seeks the assistance of the Karlsruhe judges in their unsuccessful attempt to finally install a vice president.
The Federal Court of Justice, on the other hand, had to deal with the lawsuit brought by an innkeeper from Brandenburg, who had demanded damages from the state because of the corona lockdown.
Like every week, we choose the fair judgment of the week again.
