After blocking shipments from a refinery in Feyzin near Lyon, farmers and transporters lifted their block on Monday March 21.

They had carried out this action in protest of the increase in fuel prices.

Some of them promise other actions. 

The blocking operation of the Total Energies refinery in Feyzin, by truck drivers and farmers, was lifted in the afternoon of Monday March 21 after having lasted a good part of the day.

It was not easy to convince everyone to lift the blockade around 4 p.m.

Many wanted to stay put and continue to block access to the city's main fuel depot.

"How will you do when there are no more peasants?" 

A few bird names even flew to the CRS who were beginning to mass for an evacuation by force.

Finally, the farmers and transporters present since the early morning moved their tractors and trucks.

But the bitterness was great especially in Manuel Arandel, a peasant from Savoy.

"We are disgusted because our fight is just: the survival of farms," ​​he says.

"Unfortunately, they told us to get out or they were going to run into us. We told them not to forget that we were feeding their children. How will you do when there are no more peasants? I think the government does not realize the situation …”, he explains at the microphone of Europe 1.

"Diesel is too expensive" 

The government, precisely, must hear the distress of the professionals, explains Alain, who sells agricultural equipment in Genay in the Rhône.

"Diesel is too expensive. We cannot survive with diesel at this price. Because we cannot re-invoice the price difference to our customers, the farmers, who will not be able to pay either. unlivable...", he delivers.

"Given the situation, we will not stop there, there will be other actions", promised some farmers and transporters who left with the impression of not having been listened to.
