The Chairperson of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, inspected two projects developed by Shurooq: The Sharjah Sustainable City project, which is carried out in partnership with Diamond Developers, and represents the first project that meets the highest standards of green economy and environmental sustainability in the emirate. In addition to the Al Heera Beach project, which Shurooq began developing in February 2021.

Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi toured the facilities of the two projects, and listened to an explanation from those in charge of them about the stages of work and facilities, their designs, and the criteria used to ensure their completion in accordance with Sharjah's vision for the advancement of the tourism and real estate sector.

She stressed that the "Sharjah Sustainable City" is a project in line with Shurooq's strategy of shifting towards environmentally friendly investments, diversifying its business sectors, and working with future directions that achieve the highest level of long-term impact.

Speaking about the Al Heera Beach project, Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi said that the project embodies Shurooq's vision of achieving integration between the projects that it is developing within the framework of a general trend that serves Sharjah's aspirations and orientations in achieving tangible changes in the tourism sector, and investing in projects that it owns. The elements of development and change in the region.

The "Sharjah Sustainable City" is a mixed-use residential project that represents a model for future cities, as it has been designed to meet the pillars of social, environmental and economic sustainability.

The project includes high-efficiency eco-friendly residential villas, indoor vertical farms, a school, and service facilities such as gyms, separate swimming pools for men and women, in addition to children's play areas.

The project, which extends over an area of ​​7.2 million square feet, at a total cost of two billion dirhams, is being implemented in four phases.

As for the "Al-Hira Beach" project, it extends on "Al-Hira Beach" on an area of ​​3.5 square kilometers in the Al-Fasht area in Sharjah, at a cost of 87 million dirhams.
