According to statistics, in 2021, the Fujian Supervision Bureau of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission will forward a total of 2,822 consumer complaints in the banking industry, a year-on-year increase of 50.5%.

Among them, Industrial Consumer Finance Co., Ltd. had the largest number of complaints, with a total of 368 complaints, accounting for 13% of the total number of complaints.

  In terms of the types of complaint institutions, there were 1,052 large state-owned commercial banks, accounting for 37.3% of the total; 674 small and medium-sized rural financial institutions, accounting for 23.9% of the total; and 420 joint-stock commercial banks, accounting for 14.9% of the total. ; 371 non-bank institutions (excluding trusts), accounting for 13.1% of the total complaints; 292 city commercial banks, accounting for 10.3% of the total complaints; 8 foreign banks, 4 trust companies, and 1 policy bank.

  In terms of the total number of complaints, the top 5 banking financial institutions with the highest number of complaints are: Industrial Consumer Finance Co., Ltd. with 368, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China with 312, Postal Savings Bank with 220, Agricultural Bank of China with 198, and China Construction Bank with 163.

The complaints of the above five institutions accounted for 44.7% of the total complaints of banking financial institutions.

  The prominent problems reflected in consumer complaints in Fujian's banking industry are mainly personal loan disputes, bank card savings business disputes, and credit card disputes, which were 1,592, 634, and 254, accounting for 56.4%, 22.5%, and 9.0%, respectively.

Among personal loan disputes, Industrial Consumer Finance Co., Ltd., Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China have more prominent complaints, with 366, 182, and 88 complaints respectively.

Among the complaints about bank card savings business disputes, the number of complaints from Postal Savings Bank, Agricultural Bank of China and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China is relatively prominent, with 118, 89 and 85 complaints respectively.
