Toyota Motor Corp. has announced that domestic production from next month to June will decrease by about 5% to 20% from the original plan due to the effects of semiconductor shortages.

We have already informed our major business partners and want to reduce the burden on the production site by showing the plan changes as soon as possible.

According to Toyota, domestic production for the time being will be affected by semiconductor shortages, etc., and from the initial plan, it is expected to decrease by about 20% in April, about 10% in May, and about 5% in June.

Toyota has communicated this outlook to the parts manufacturers of its major customers.

At Toyota, in the labor-management negotiations of this spring battle, it was pointed out that the burden on the production site including business partners is increasing due to repeated plan changes such as production cuts and recovery production, and President Akio Toyoda said, " We would like to create a plan based on the situation of our suppliers and create a healthy working environment with the highest priority on safety and quality. "

This time, we are also informing about the plan change three months ahead, and we would like to show it early to reduce the burden on the production site.
