China News Service, Yichang, March 9 (Li Pengfei, Zhou Shaowei, Guo Hongmei) "After this dual-fuel powered ship is launched, it is of great significance to promote the ecological protection of the Yangtze River and the green development of inland shipping in the Yangtze River." Deputy of Hubei Yichang Ship Inspection Center Director Huang Hong said on the 8th.

On the same day, the "Fansheng 102" ship developed and built by Zhijiang Shengmao Ship Industry Co., Ltd. was launched in Yichang Shipbuilding Industrial Park in Zhijiang City.

This is also the first diesel and LNG dual-fuel powered ship in Hubei Province.

According to Huang Hong, the "Fansheng 102" ship launched this time for sea trials is 130 meters long and 16.2 meters wide, with a maximum cargo capacity of about 10,000 tons, a speed of 18 kilometers per hour, and an endurance of about 220 hours at full load.

"The ship adopts diesel and LNG dual-fuel power system, which can realize two operating modes: pure diesel fuel state and oil and gas dual fuel state." Huang Hong said that when the ship uses LNG as the main fuel, the pollutant emissions will be greatly reduced. It can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 20%, reduce sulfur oxide emissions by about 80%, and close to zero emissions of particulate matter.

Zhijiang is located on the north bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. It has more than 3,000 meters of shoreline of the Yangtze River that can be used for shipbuilding. It is a natural port and a high-quality base for the development of the shipbuilding industry.

At present, the city has gathered 10 ship repair and construction enterprises, and initially formed an integrated development pattern of "ship, port, industry and city".
