The war in Ukraine is making German citizens more interested in the financial markets.

As a Yougov survey published on Wednesday on behalf of the German Press Agency showed, 20 percent are following the stock market prices because of the fighting in Ukraine.

21 percent are pursuing them for other reasons.

54 percent pay no attention to the courses.

According to the survey, men (54 percent) follow stock market prices more frequently than women (30 percent).

The German leading index Dax has lost around 20 percent of its value so far this year, mainly because of the conflict with Russia.

Among other things, investors are worried about higher energy and raw material prices and the impact on the export economy.
