Emirates' partnership with Garuda opens 7 additional domestic destinations in Indonesia

Emirates Airlines and Garuda Indonesia announced the launch of a code-exchange partnership between them, and activate it as of today, Wednesday.

The partnership allows passengers with Emirates Airlines, and customers of the national airline in Indonesia, to travel easily through connected flights across the Americas, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, as well as seven additional domestic destinations in Indonesia, in addition to Jakarta and Bali.

Under the code-sharing agreement between the two airlines, their passengers will be able to enjoy connected flights across 16 different routes, including seamless access to many popular European destinations, in addition to other benefits that make their travels more convenient and easier.

According to the statement, flights that will be subject to the codeshare partnership between the two carriers will start operating from March 16.

Garuda Indonesia will place its code on the routes operated by Emirates Airlines between Jakarta and Dubai and the continuous flights to Paris, London Heathrow, Manchester, Milan and Barcelona, ​​via Dubai.

Emirates Airlines will also place its code on flights operated by Garuda Indonesia to 10 routes through its two hubs in Jakarta and Denpasar, allowing Emirates passengers to travel to seven additional domestic destinations in Indonesia, as well as Jakarta and Bali.

The internal Indonesian destinations that Emirates Airlines passengers can travel to include: Denpasar, Surabaya, Makassar, Balikpapan, Manado, Medan, Padang and Solo, from Jakarta, and they can also travel from Denpasar to Jakarta, Surabaya, and Makassar.
