ANA Holdings Inc., a major aviation company, will start operating new international flights based at Narita Airport with the goal of the second half of 2023.

The aim is to capture the demand of foreign tourists, etc., in anticipation of the convergence of the new corona infection.

ANA Holdings held a meeting in Tokyo on the 8th, and announced that its subsidiary "Air Japan" will start operating medium-haul international flights such as Asia and Oceania with the goal of the second half of 2023.

It means that it will operate from Narita Airport as the third brand after "All Nippon Airways" and LCC = low-cost carrier "Peach Aviation".

The aircraft uses a Boeing 787, and while increasing the number of seats compared to ANA, the price will be set to the same level as LCC.

While the number of international passengers has not returned due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the company wants to capture the demand of foreign tourists and business travelers in anticipation of the end of the infection.

At a press conference, Air Japan President Hideki Mineguchi said, "I want to aim for a new model with the best of ANA and LCC."
