Sobyanin announced the creation of a commission to increase the sustainability of the development of the Moscow economy

The mayor recalled that last year in Moscow ended with a record growth in industry and investment.

“Obviously, today the domestic economy is entering a period of serious trials due to the sanctions imposed by the United States and other countries,” he added.

The first tasks of the commission are to organize monitoring of the situation, take urgent response measures and support businesses and citizens.

“We have a successful track record of overcoming the crises of 2008-2009, 2014-2015 and 2020.

They were caused by different reasons.

But every time Moscow coped with the trials that fell to its lot and eventually became stronger.

So it will be this time too,” Sobyanin said.

Earlier, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin created the Council for Social Protection and Support of Citizens under Sanctions.
