[Explanation] Have you ever encountered such a situation, when using apps such as taxis and e-commerce shopping, the same route, product, same hotel and time, different mobile phones show different prices?

Or talking about a product at a gathering of friends, and an ad for that product pops up on your phone shortly after?

A few days ago, Zhang Yunyong, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of Yunnan Unicom, said in an exclusive interview with China News Agency that data and algorithms are at work behind this.

The deep-seated problem behind "big data killing" is "algorithmic domination", which should be given high priority as soon as possible.

On the surface, big data is familiar, but the deep-seated problem behind it is "algorithmic rule", which is the biggest monopoly.

It is an algorithmic monopoly, and its performance is more subtle, but its lethality is stronger.

What is the biggest essential problem here?

The algorithm is opaque.

When communicating with the partner, he said that the artificial intelligence algorithm was automatic and had nothing to do with them (the enterprise), so he dismissed the responsibility.

The algorithm should be made more transparent.

After the disclosure, there must be a choice for users to allow or not to collect your information. Some people are willing to agree, and some people do not agree. It should give the initiative to users to choose.

[Explanation] Since the three major operators obtained 5G licenses in 2019, China's 5G commercialization has made important breakthroughs.

But on the one hand, 5G base stations are quickly covered, and on the other hand, the public experience is not much different from 4G.

Zhang Yunyong believes that this is because compared with industry applications, the categories of 5G public applications are obviously insufficient.

Therefore, we must focus on strengthening the application of 5G in the personal and family fields.

For example, the short message application of 5G, or the RCS (converged communication) application called 5G.

This time, it played a very important role during the Winter Olympics, mainly for indoor navigation, because the traditional navigation is outdoor, which is more accurate, but indoor is not enough.

Therefore, we interface with traditional GPS navigation technology, WiFi navigation technology, and Bluetooth navigation technology. In addition, we are based on shooting the scene, and then gradually interact and iterate, guiding you to reach your seat accurately bit by bit.

[Explanation] On the other hand, Zhang Yunyong also suggested that in the 5G era, a trusted digital identity authentication service system should be built as soon as possible, using mobile phone SIM cards, bank cards and other security chips to carry digital identities.

Because now everyone is accustomed to carrying mobile phones, but there is one function that cannot be bypassed, that is, the ID card.

To do a lot of things now, you still need an ID card to verify your identity, but a mobile phone can't do it.

Can the information of the ID card be implanted into our mobile phone SIM card?

In the future, we can build a 5G SIM-based digital identity authentication system.

If this mechanism is sound and open, it will be very convenient to use one network.

It is coordinated with 5G industry applications or 5G government and enterprise applications, and two-way linkage from government and enterprises to the public.

Only in this way can 5G go more steadily, and only in this way can we turn many of the so-called "model rooms" of 5G into "commercial houses" and go to the side of the common people.
