During the election season, in the stock market, if a candidate becomes a certain stock, what stock will rise, and so-called theme stocks are popular.

The problem is that while these stocks go up, almost all of them drop significantly as Election Day approaches.

The same can be seen in this election.

Earlier this year, the stock of an electronics company rose more than 60% in five days.

There are rumors that the CEO is Ahn Cheol-soo's theme stock because he's from Ahn Lab, but the very next week, the stock price collapsed and in the end, it was cut in half.

A construction company that was said to be aligned with the public housing policy proposed by candidate Lee Jae-myung fell -50% from its peak, and stocks related to hair loss also fell by more than -30%.

Companies that were on the theme stock because candidate Yoon Seok-yeol and the president are the same Mr. Papyeong Yoon or because a school alumnus is a director, etc., fell by more than 20%.

Election theme stocks sparkle once in a while, but lose their power as Election Day approaches, usually falling further after Election Day.

As a result of analyzing the yield on theme stocks of the candidates who were actually elected until the 16th and 19th presidential elections, it fell right after the election and fell by nearly -10% five days later.

There was no relationship between the elected and the company, but the stock price went up for various reasons, so it disappeared like a mirage.

In this presidential election alone, 9 out of 10 presidential election theme stocks were classified as theme stocks just because there was a delay or academic connection.
