  It was first in the history of our country, a head of the Ming Dynasty, Jiangxi native Xie Jin proposed such a concept, and in Sun Yat-sen's "Strategy for National Founding", he again put forward the concept of building the Gan-Guangdong Canal.

  At the National People's Congress last year, Zhu Hong mentioned in an interview that the history of Jiangxi's rise and fall can be found from the Ganjiang River. Therefore, we must be grateful to the Ganjiang River, protect the Ganjiang River, and develop and utilize the Ganjiang River.

He believes that the construction of the Zhejiang-Jiangxi-Guangdong Canal is of great significance for the further expansion, quality and upgrade of Jiangxi's transportation.

  First of all, the average price of water transportation is only more than two cents per ton-kilometer. For car transportation, it is about six or seven cents per ton-kilometer, and train transportation is about two cents. From this background condition, it should be said that it is the best way of logistics transportation.   Today, the Zhejiang-Jiangxi-Guangdong Canal has entered the general planning of the national shipping channel.   The opening of the canal of Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Guangdong can solve the complete communication of the four most important waterways in China, including the connection between the Ganjiang River and the Pearl River, and the further connection with the Yangtze River, and the connection with Zhejiang through the Qiantang River and the Fuchun River, and then the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, connecting the four major waterways. The waterways are connected together, and the economic belts on both sides can be developed in an all-round way, including the exchange of personnel, the exchange of properties, and especially the freight will play a great role.

  In Zhu Hong's view, this "Century Project" with a total length of about 1,988 kilometers is undoubtedly a great thing. The people of Jiangxi have longed for the revitalization of the millennium-old golden waterway of Jiangxi and Po.
