On February 22, a new round of rain and snow was hit in the mountainous areas of southern Anhui, with widespread snowfall in Xiuning County, Huangshan City.
Baiji Township is the most remote township in Xiuning County. The Yuanbai Highway leading to Baiji Township is called "Huizhou Tianlu", winding to an altitude of 1208 meters.
The Baiji Township, which is located in the deep mountains, is covered with snow, and the road is closed. The Baiji 122 power supply line, which the people rely on for daily lighting, heating, and rice milling, is also threatened by the rain and snow.
That morning, the "power guard", wearing a red vest, a safety helmet, and holding various snow-removing tools, was walking on the snow-covered Yuanbai Highway. Special patrols are carried out on the line to observe whether there are branches and bamboos that have been crushed by the rain and snow on the line and the icing of the tower body.
According to reports, there are 28 large and small platforms on the Baiji 122 line. The operation and maintenance personnel have to walk for more than five hours for each special patrol, and walk along the Yuanbai Highway to the highest altitude of the 10 kV Baiji 122 line. The No. 218 tower, after eliminating the hidden dangers along the way, it takes a whole day to return to the unit.
