 In an opening speech to a meeting organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber with the delegation of the National Investment Promotion Authority in Cyprus and the Cyprus Chamber, Fouad Darwish, a member of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the business environment in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is attractive to businessmen and investors wishing to achieve qualitative achievements and benefit from Flexible investment incentives, including advanced infrastructure, an economic legislative system, and an ideal environment for security and safety that protect investors and their investments.

He stressed that the Abu Dhabi Chamber, as it represents the private sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, is fully prepared to cooperate with the "Cyprus Chamber" to introduce the viable investment climates available in Cyprus, and to introduce the business community to the advantages and investment opportunities.


For his part, Vice President of the "Cyprus Chamber", Dinos Metside, said that the signing of the agreement is the first step in strengthening bilateral relations between the business sectors in Cyprus and Abu Dhabi, calling on the business communities in both Cyprus and the UAE to explore more opportunities and potential investment partnerships between them.


In turn, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Investment Promotion Authority in Cyprus, Yancy Matsis, stressed the importance of concerted efforts to enhance trade and investment relations between Abu Dhabi and Cyprus companies, especially after the remarkable recovery of the global economy from the repercussions of the “Covid-19” pandemic.

He pointed out that his country's economy has proven to be more resilient compared to other southern European economies, pointing out that the business environment in Cyprus is moving towards sustainable and long-term development, especially its interest in foreign investments, including strengthening the partnership with the business environment in Abu Dhabi.

He called on investors in Abu Dhabi and Emirati businessmen to take advantage of the decisions of his country's government to simplify the process of doing business, and to provide diverse and profitable commercial and investment opportunities.
