  Our reporter, Beijing, February 20 (Reporter Liu Zhiqiang) The reporter learned from the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association: In 2021, my country's nonferrous metal production will maintain a steady growth, the effect of ensuring supply and stabilizing prices is remarkable, and the international competitiveness will continue to improve.

  Production investment grew steadily.

In 2021, the output of 10 commonly used non-ferrous metals will be 64.543 million tons, an increase of 5.4% over the previous year, and an average increase of 5.1% over the two years; the total investment in fixed assets completed by the non-ferrous metal industry will increase by 4.1% over the previous year, with an average increase of 1.5% over the two years.

  Non-ferrous metal enterprises above designated size achieved a new high in profits.

In 2021, 9,031 non-ferrous metal industrial enterprises above designated size will realize a total profit of 364.48 billion yuan, an increase of 101.9% over the previous year.

Among them, independent mining enterprises realized profits of 51.37 billion yuan, an increase of 44.5%; smelting enterprises realized profits of 208.24 billion yuan, an increase of 154.6%; processing enterprises realized profits of 104.88 billion yuan, an increase of 65.9%.

  Exports of major products were better than expected.

In 2021, the total import and export trade of non-ferrous metals (including gold trade volume) will be US$261.62 billion, an increase of 67.8% over the previous year.

Among them, the import value increased by 71%, and the export value increased by 54.6%.

Since joining the World Trade Organization, my country's exports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products have increased from 544,000 tons in 2001 to 5.619 million tons in 2021, with an average annual growth of 12.5%. The structure of export products has changed significantly, and aluminum exports accounted for 95% %about.
