The municipality of Lannion (Côtes-d'Armor) had to prematurely stop the sale of one of the town's buildings.

In just a few days, she received an incredible number of requests for the 78 m2 house, displayed at a price of 7,800 euros, reports Le Trégor.

Since Monday, it is no longer possible to file a file to acquire the building which had housed the public toilets of the city.

Determine criteria for deciding

Too many potential buyers have come forward, attracted by the more than affordable price of the property which will require major work.

As Le Télégramme points out, the house was initially sold to Côtes-d'Armor Habitat, which finally gave up in the face of the excessive costs of the renovation and the constraints of the local urban plan.

A working group will now be set up within the town hall to determine the criteria for selecting files.

Around 50 applications have reportedly been filed.
