Minister Delegate for Housing Emmanuelle Wargon was in Dijon (Côte-d'Or) last Friday to come and sign, in the company of François Rebsamen, the president of Dijon Métropole, the first Housing Relaunch contract, reports France Bleu Bourgogne.

This new system will make it possible to support the housing construction policy initiated by the conurbation with a check for 2.1 million euros.

More than 9,800 missing homes in Dijon

Nearly 1,900 new homes are currently under construction in the Dijon region, mainly at Arsenal and at the former Tarot factory.

Each time, a plan has been defined by the metropolis to ensure a mix between social housing and free housing, while ensuring the preservation of green spaces.

With this contract, the State will therefore be able to support the arrival of these new homes by developing public facilities in the surrounding area, such as schools and roads.

It could also allow the agglomeration to continue its construction policy aimed at reducing real estate tension in the area.

According to social landlords, more than 9,800 homes are still missing in the Dijon region.
