The Organizing Committee for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is moving up a gear.

It is launching half of its markets this year to organize the reception of the 15,000 athletes and spectators who will set foot in the capital.

All sectors of activity are affected by this opportunity, which represents 1 billion euros.

All sectors of activity are concerned: sports equipment, but also signage, catering, cleaning, waste management, security, transport and even the manufacture of medals.

There will be something for everyone, regardless of the size of the company, even if the Paris 2024 committee will favor VSEs and SMEs as well as companies in the Social and Solidarity Economy.

Furniture "responsible" in terms of the environment

But it will take people, a lot of people, because the site is vast, as Olivier de Bargues, Deputy Purchasing Director for Paris 2024, reminds us. "Of course, we have a lot of logistics and equipment supply issues. example, the equipment for the Olympic village. You need 15,000 beds, mattresses, duvets, pillows, bedside tables for the athletes' rooms. This is a very large piece of work and above all very representative of the scale of the Games and the diversity of the purchases that we will have to make", he explains.
