A bonus for those who ride the most?

Bercy has been working on this new measure for several weeks in order to help motorists in the face of rising fuel prices.

After the inflation bonus, the executive is therefore preparing to review the amount of mileage allowances and arbitration could be made this Tuesday afternoon.

While prices at the pump continue to climb - 1.70 euros for unleaded 95 and 1.62 for diesel - the executive is preparing to announce a new gesture to reduce the bill for motorists.

This measure should concern the amount of mileage allowances.

The objective of Bercy is indeed to target the big rollers, that is to say the workers who make a lot of kilometers to go to work and declare their real expenses.

Two and a half million French people concerned

The idea is to revise upwards the scale of mileage allowances, a fairly simple solution to put in place, it is specified in the entourage of Bruno Le Maire, since this scale is re-examined each year at the end of January, without it does not go through Parliament.

This measure would concern about two and a half million taxpayers and it is the only track studied by the executive.

There will therefore be no extension of the inflation check of 100 euros, which is still being distributed.

The announcement of a revision of the scale of mileage allowances could be made by the end of the week.

In the entourage of the Prime Minister, it is confirmed that the track is seriously studied, but the arbitration has not yet been made.

It could be decided this Tuesday at the end of the day when a meeting is planned between Jean Castex and Bruno Le Maire.
