Keidanren Chairman Tokura strengthened cooperation between Japan and the United States at a regular meeting on the 24th in connection with discussions between foreign affairs and economic ministers and an agreement to establish a so-called "2 plus 2" framework for the economic version. While welcoming him, he said that he should maintain good relations with China and cooperate in dealing with climate change measures and human rights issues.

In this, Chairman Tokura said, "I think it is very important for us to cooperate with the same country, including issues such as human rights and supply chains. In the current geopolitical situation, the business world I think this is an issue that we should work on together, "he said, welcoming the strengthening of cooperation between Japan and the United States.



On the other hand, regarding relations with China, he pointed out that "it is indispensable for the prosperity and peace of the East Asian economy. The world cannot do without China, and China cannot do without the world." He stated that he should maintain good relations and cooperate in dealing with climate change measures and human rights issues.
